Matt Cerny

Captain Cerny joined Yoakum Fire Department in 1989 as Firefighter/EMT/Paramedic. He transferred to the Bellaire Fire Department in 1999 serving in the same capacity and beginning July 2004, he served more than 9 years as Firefighter/Paramedic with the West University Place Fire Department.

Captain Cerny joined Willowfork Fire Department, March 5, 2018, and serves as full time Captain.

Matt Clinefelter

Captain Clinefelter has 11 years in fire service starting with the Westlake Fire Department in 2006-2013. He also worked for the Sugar Land Fire Department 2008-2017 as E/O-Paramedic.

Captain Clinefelter joined Willowfork Fire Department in 2013 serving as Acting Captain and was promoted to full time Captain effective January 8, 2018.

Phillip Cook

Captain Cook has served more than 12 years in the fire service including 9 years of experience as Sr. Firefighter with the Richmond Fire Department and more than 3 years of experience with the Houston Fire Department as Firefighter/EMT/Paramedic.

Captain Cook joined Willowfork Fire Department in 2010 as Firefighter/EMT/Paramedic and was promoted to full time Captain effective March 5, 2018.

Michael Garcia

Captain Garcia has 22 years in the fire service. He began his career in the City of Rosenberg in 1995 as a Volunteer
Firefighter. He was hired full time in 1997 and held the ranks of Senior Firefighter, Fire Inspector/Arson Investigator and Interim Fire Marshal. He oversaw the Fire Prevention Puppet Show and Citizen’s Fire Academy. In 2014, he joined the Pasadena Fire Marshal’s Office as a part-time Deputy Fire Marshal overseeing plan reviewing and Inspections.

Captain Garcia joined Willowfork Fire Department in September 2016 as a part-time Firefighter and was promoted to full time Captain effective January 8, 2018.

Brent Gorman Jr.

Captain Gorman joined Frelsburg VFD on his 18th birthday, following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather. Soon after, he realized he wanted fire fighting to be a career. He enrolled in Blinn College, attended TEEX Recruit Academy #127 where he was voted Most Outstanding Student, and graduated with an Associate in Fire Science. He was hired at West University Fire Department as a full time Firefighter/EMT-Basic in April 2009. He was sent to Paramedic School immediately and was then promoted to Firefighter-In-Charge/Driver-Operator and ride up Lieutenant in 2013. In 2011, he joined Columbus VFD to serve the community.

Captain Gorman joined Willowfork Fire Department, January 8, 2018, and serves as a full time Captain.

David Rogers

Captain Roger’s first experience with the fire service came in 2000 when he joined the Mexia Fire Department as an Explorer and found his calling to serve as a Firefighter. After completing EMT school, he worked for the Mexia Fire Department as a paid on-call EMT and Volunteer Firefighter. He has been a commissioned Firefighter since July of 2005. He had his first full time fire service experience overseas in Iraq as a Firefighter working with the US Military. After returning home, he went to work for the Bellmead Fire Department in 2013 as a Firefighter/Driver-Operator. In 2016, he was promoted to Lieutenant with the Gonzales Fire Department.

Captain Rogers joined Willowfork Fire Department, January 8, 2018, and serves as a full time Captain.

John Sandrea

Captain Sandrea has 14 years in the fire service starting with Community Volunteer Fire Department in 2003. He was appointed to the rank of lieutenant in 2006 – 2012 then transitioned to the duty crew in 2013. In 2007, he joined the Houston Fire Department and reached the rank of Engineer/Operator in 2014. In 2014, he joined the Cy-Fair Volunteer Fire Department as Training Lieutenant and continues to volunteer his services today.

Captain Sandrea joined Willowfork Fire Department, January 8, 2018, and serves as a full time Captain.

Jeffrey Schumann

Captain Schumann spent 28 years with the Rosenberg Fire Department in numerous roles to include Acting Battalion Chief, Incident Commander/Incident Safety Officer, Fire and Hazardous Materials Instructor, Inspector of Building Fire Compliance, as well as Fire Captain.

Captain Schumann joined Willowfork Fire Department, March 5, 2018, and serves as a full time Captain.

George Velasquez Jr.

Captain Velasquez has 22 years of experience in fire and emergency service. He joined the Rosenberg Fire Department in 1995 as a Jr. Firefighter and went to full-time status in 2002 as Sr. Firefighter. Captain Velasquez is also an instructor with the Wharton County Jr. College (WCJC) Fire Academy.

Captain Velasquez joined the Willowfork Fire Department in December 2003 as a Firefighter, worked his way up to Acting Battalion Chief and was promoted to full time Captain effective January 8, 2018.

Joe Villarreal

Captain Villarreal has been in the fire service for 17 years, starting with the Cy-Fair Volunteer Fire Department as a Volunteer Firefighter. As he became active in the fire service, he knew this was going to be his career. He began fire school in 2003 at Lone Star College, graduating in 2004 with his Basic Firefighter certification and obtained his EMT Basic Certification. During the time of seeking employment as a Firefighter, he was a 911 dispatcher with Cy Fair Volunteer Fire Department. In 2007, he became a full time Firefighter with the Village Fire Department. In 2014, he left the Village Fire Department to be a full-time Firefighter with Katy Fire Department and was promoted to Engineer Operator in 2016.

Captain Villarreal joined Willowfork Fire Department, January 8, 2018, and serves as a full time Captain.

John Villarreal

Captain Villarreal has 24 years in the fire service. He started as a volunteer Firefighter in 1993. From 2002 to 2016, he was employed with the Rosenberg FD initially as a fulltime Firefighter. Through the years, he gained an extensive background in fire investigations and fire inspections by being employed with the Rosenberg FMO and Fort Bend County FMO.

Captain Villarreal joined the Willowfork Fire Department in 2005 as a part time Firefighter and was promoted to full time Captain effective January 8, 2018.

Ryan Wagner

Captain Wagner has more than 10 years in the fire service beginning with the Bellaire Fire Department performing basic structural firefighting tasks. He transferred to Fulshear Simonton Fire Department riding as a Company Officer and Engine Operator and later joined West University Place Fire Department assigned as Firefighter in Charge and Ride Up as Lieutenant.

Captain Wagner joined Willowfork Fire Department, March 5, 2018, and serves as full time Captain.
